Weekly jobless numbers are taking a surprising jump.
The Labor Department reports 351-thousand Americans filed first-time claims for unemployment benefits last week. That’s 16-thousand more than the previous week’s revised total. Most analysts were expecting today’s number to come in at right around 325-thousand.
