Wisconsin’s governor is the latest to want to go to court over the state’s new political map.
Governor Evers yesterday asked a federal judge to allow him to join one of the lawsuits filed over the state’s to-be-drawn map. That lawsuit asks the court to draw the maps because a group of advocate voters don’t believe lawmakers and the governor can agree on a new political map. Lawmakers are the ones who are supposed to draw the map, but Democrats in the state want to take that power away. The governor yesterday said he wants to go to court to ‘protect Democracy.’
