After four years in a state mental hospital, one of the now-young women convicted in the Slender Man stabbing is going home.
Anissa Weier will be released today, and she’s set to live with her father in Waukesha. Weier was just 12 when she and Morgan Geyser stabbed Payton Leutner nearly to death back in 2012. Weier and Geyser said they did it to appease the Slender Man. Weier’s lawyers say she worked on her mental health and education, and no longer needs to be in state custody.
