A Madison man is facing several charges after reports of gunfire this morning on the University of Wisconsin campus.
UW Police responded within a minute of dispatch and found Danion O’Dell in the parking lot of the Waisman Center. He told police he was trying to unload his gun when it fired. After some initial checking police believed O’Dell was the person described in an earlier report of an intoxicated driver. He was booked into the Dane County Jail on charges including possession of a firearm by a felon.
