A new poll shows a lot of Democratic voters support the idea of school choice.
The Wisconsin Federation for Children released the report yesterday. It says about 30-percent of Democratic primary voters in Milwaukee support both vouchers and charter schools. More than 40-percent oppose the ideas, but about 25-percent of voters also say they don’t have an opinion about charters and vouchers. The Federation’s Justin Moralez says that means opposition to giving kids a choice in their education is not as large as many lawmakers believe.
