Wisconsin’s Growth MOOOves Slow

Wisconsin’s slow growth continues.

The latest Census numbers show the state grew by just over three-and-a-half-percent over the past decade, about half of what Minnesota saw. There are five-point-nine-million people in the state. Madison and Dane County were the fastest growing areas in Wisconsin, adding more than 73-thousand people. That growth came as Milwaukee shrank. The Census shows Milwaukee lost 17-thousand people since 2010. Most notably, the Census shows that fewer children are now living in the state. That means Wisconsin is likely to see even less growth over the next 10 years.
