Some folks in southeast Wisconsin got a lot of rain in a short amount of time.
Forecasters say flooding is the worry after last night’s round of storms. The National Weather Service issued a flash flood warning for Sheboygan that lasts until 6 a.m. There were also some strong winds in Milwaukee and the WOW counties. The remnants of the storm system will mean more rain today before a drier weekend.
The chainsaws will be busy in parts of Wisconsin later today.
Forecasters say last night’s round of strong storms knocked down trees and left a trail of damage across the state. Baraboo was one of the hardest hit communities. The storms snapped entire trees in half there. There are no reports of any serious injuries. Forecasters expect to get a better sense of the damage later today.
