The comeback of the vinyl record continues.
Over 19-million vinyl albums were sold in the first six months of this year, outselling CDs by around 300-thousand copies. Vinyl record sales are up by over nine-million compared to the same time period from last year. Records surpassed CDs last year in sales in the U.S. for the first time in 34 years. The top-selling albums halfway through the year include Taylor Swift’s “Evermore” and Harry Styles’ “First Line.”
