It’s going to cost almost as much money to fix the High Bridge in Eau Claire as it will cost to tear it down.
The city council will decide which path they prefer this week. Tomorrow’s council meeting includes a request from City Manager Dave Solberg to spend two-and-a-half-million-dollars to fix the bridge’s cracked foundation. Solberg says it would cost about the same to demolish the bridge.
Eau Claire closed the High Bridge last month after crews found the crack.
