The Better Business Bureau is giving Wisconsin residents a warning about a new scam popping up around the country.
Qualified families with children know that between July 15th and the end of the year the child tax credit payments will be made under the American Rescue Plan. Officials say scammers may present themselves as able to get you your payment early or get more money for you. Neither claim is true so never give out any personal information and remember that Social Security, the IRS or the Federal Trade Commission will not call, text or email you for information.
