There are criminal charges in Rusk County for school leaders in Flambeau schools over a grade fixing accusation.
Prosecutors are moving ahead with misconduct in office and disorderly conduct charges against Superintendent Erica Schley. Her husband, Jeff, is facing disorderly conduct charges. And, Flambeau School Board President Julie Hauser is charged with two counts of misconduct in office. The charges accuse the superintendent and school board president of not holding a meeting to hear a complaint from a teacher that Jeff Schley threatened him if the teacher didn’t change his daughter’s grade back in January. The teacher says Wisconsin law requires a public hearing when an official complaint is made.
Jeff Schley and Julie Hauser have already appeared in court on the charges, but superintendent Erica Schley is due in court next month.
