A massive chemical plant fire in Illinois could burn up to seven days.
The fire that started Monday morning is located about four miles south of Beloit and about 75 miles southwest from Milwaukee. Fire crews say there’s still about half-a-million gallons of oil that continues to burn. Anyone within three miles of the scene should wear a face mask due to poor air quality. Winds are blowing the smoke southwest, and away from Wisconsin. There’s no timeline on when the fire will be put out enough for the evacuation order to be lifted.
