Wisconsin lawmakers prepare a bi-partisan measure intended to protect the definition of “natural cheese.”
The Codifying Useful Regulatory Definitions act or CURD act introduced Friday by state representative Ron Kind. He says the intent of the CURD Act is to define “natural cheese” as that which is made from milk. Kind says the bill will provide consumers with the knowledge that cheeses produced in Wisconsin fall within the “natural cheese” category.
