New Campaign Aims to Snuff Out Vaping

While cigarette use has gone down, vaping/e-cigarette use among Eau Claire County high school students has increased 142% since 2015, according to the 2019 Youth Risk Behavior Survey. That’s why the Alliance for Substance Abuse Prevention created a new Anti-Vaping Campaign, that includes 4 short videos to spread awareness
about the harms of vaping.

The campaign videos include basic education about vaping, the risks, and how to talk to kids about it. The hope is that short clips will encourage people to learn more about vaping, use community resources for prevention, and even to help themselves or a loved one quit. More information and the videos will be launched soon.
