Eau Claire County has approved a Free Camping Weekend, June 4 and 5, 2021, at Coon Fork Lake County Park located east of the City of Augusta at E25501 County Highway CF, Augusta WI 54720 to encourage families and individuals to explore the 108-site campground and day-use area.
All campers must check in at the campground office prior to occupying a site, which will be available on a first-come,
first-served basis only. No camping fees will be charged but campers must pay $5 a night for sites with electric provided. No reservations are being accepted for these days with the exception of those made prior to the board action. Firewood, ice, bait, kayak, and paddleboard rentals will be available for a fee.
In addition, the Eau Claire County Parks & Forest Department announces Saturday, June 5 and Sunday, June 6, the public is invited to use any of the seven parks and boat landings under the jurisdiction of the Eau Claire County Parks & Forest Department as well as Tower Ridge Recreational Area without payment of vehicle entrance fees.
The County Board has previously authorized the annual free entrance of County operated facilities.
