It’s unlikely that anyone changed their mind about Wisconsin’s proposal to keep womens’ and girls’ sports for biological women and girls, but various sides presented their opinions. We will show you different sides so you can decide.
Lawmakers sat through about three hours of testimony on the plan yesterday. Supporters say keeping trans athletes out of womens’ and girls’ sports in high school and college will protect women and girls who simply want to compete fairly. They say trans athletes have an unfair biological advantage.
Opponents of the plan say locking trans athletes out of sports will be terrible for their well being. Activists say the plan is morally wrong. Wisconsin high schools currently allow trans athletes to compete but only after a year of medically documented treatments.
