Special Session, Short Short Order

Special Session, Short Short Order

A special session of the Wisconsin Legislature ended in short order.

The Republicans who control the legislature convened today and immediately ended the special session.  Governor Tony Evers called the session in the hopes of claiming a billion-and-a-half-dollars in federal funding available in the COVID stimulus bill to expand Medicaid.  The Senate and the Assembly had no intention of taking up the measure so they wrapped up their business in less than a minute.
