It is the end of an era at the University of Wisconsin.
Barry Alvarez will announce his retirement later today. Alvarez has been at the school, either as football coach or athletic director, since 1990. He says it’s time to move on to something else. Alvarez is expected to leave the school sometime before the beginning of the next school year.
