The President of the University of Wisconsin System wants lawmakers to approve IT security upgrades.
WKOW reports that interim President Tommy Thompson told a state senate committee on universities this week that UW needs funding help for IT infrastructure improvements. Thompson says the move is needed in order to beef up the UW System against hackers.
