The Ho-Chunk Nation casino project near Beloit is one step closer to reality.
Governor Tony Evers gave his approval today to the building of the casino. The governor says the project could create around 15-hundred long-term jobs in addition to two-thousand construction jobs. The next phase of approval will come in a final ruling by the U.S. Department of the Interior.
