The Department of Health Services says there are 178 new coronavirus cases reported statewide today.
That number boosts the total number of confirmed cases to nearly 567-thousand. There were no additional deaths confirmed so the death toll from COVID-19 remains at more than 64-hundred. CLICK HERE FOR MORE FROM WI DHS.
When it comes to updated CDC guidelines for vaccinated individuals, CDC Director Rochelle Walensky says fully vaccinated individuals can take part in small gatherings indoors with others who have been fully vaccinated. They can do so without facemasks or social distancing.
However, Walensky stressed that fully vaccinated individuals should still wear masks in public.
