Push to Protect From Coronavirus Lawsuits

There are more people asking Governor Tony Evers to sign the law to protect businesses, schools, and non-profits in Wisconsin from coronavirus lawsuits.

The protections are included in the legislation to fix the problems at the state’s unemployment office. The governor has said he will sign that package, but has not yet committed to the liability reforms.

Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce on Tuesday said businesses in the state have done everything they can to reopen safely, and said they deserve to be protected from lawsuits trying to cash-in on the virus outbreak.
