Longtime Coach Passes Away

A longtime football coach in the D.C. Everest School District is being remembered as a beloved coach, mentor and teacher. 

The district today announced the passing of former football coach Wayne Steffenhagen.  He coached the varsity football team for 33 years winning 16 Wisconsin Valley championships and five state championships.  When he retired in 2013 Steffenhagan had posted a record of 276 wins and only 73 losses.
