The Eau Claire Fire Department responded to a structure fire in the residence at 1013 Bradley Avenue.
On arrival, fire crews found heavy smoke and fire coming from the garage area. Fire crews made an aggressive fire attack on the garage and were able to knock down the fire as secondary crews checked for fire extension inside the residence.
Moderate smoke and heat conditions were noted inside the residence and hot spots were quickly extinguished. Red Cross was contacted to assist with the family of 6.
Damages total $40,000 and there were no reports of injuries and several pets were rescued.
