In other parts of our state, street crews are hard at work around the clock to keep Madison’s streets cleared off.

The snowfall from Thursday has since converted to a freeze over making highway travel treacherous.  City emergency officials say conditions won’t improve much today or tomorrow as temperatures aren’t expected to rise until Tuesday.

Winter storms will impact over 100-million Americans this Valentine’s Day.  A major winter storm that dumped heavy snow in the Northwest and in the Rockies is expected to hit the Southern Plains today, with at least 8-inches of snow possible in Oklahoma City and northern Texas.
