In-Class Schools Get Budget Boost

Schools that are fully open for in-person classes in Wisconsin are seeing a bit more money from Madison.

The legislature’s budget committee yesterday approved 69 million-dollars for schools that have students back in their classrooms. Senate budget chief Howard Marklein said the legislature wants to send the message that kids need to be in school. The 69 million is just a fraction of the 617 million that the state is getting from the federal government for schools.
