Budget cuts in the form of staff layoffs are expected for the Chippewa Falls Area Unified School District.
District leaders say this is due to an anticipated one-point-six-million-dollar budget deficit as a result of declining enrollment. The district plans to submit a preliminary budget plan to the school board at the end of March.
