Speeding away from the police has landed an Eau Claire woman in jail, and has her looking at a long list of charges.
The Wisconsin State Patrol chased down Sara Stephan yesterday on Highway 12/29 near Menomonie early yesterday morning. The trooper originally stopped her for going 90 in a 70, but the chase after the stop hit speeds of 120 miles-per-hour.
Troopers say Stephan crashed, then tried to run away. She’s now looking at charges for the chase, as well as charges for driving under the influence and meth possession.
