Madison Preps for Potential Protests

Downtown Madison businesses and government offices slam shut in defense against possible political upheaval.  NBC News’ Morgan Chesky says the city is taking steps to protect Capitol Square.

Stores are expected to remain closed at least until the day after Inauguration Day this week, just in case.  Police in Madison say no specific threats targeting the state capitol have been received.

This week the FBI advised all 50-states should be wary of possible armed protests in anticipation of Wednesday’s Presidential inauguration of Joe Biden in Washington, D.C.
