The head of the University of Wisconsin says his schools can take over Wisconsin’s slow-to-start coronavirus vaccination program.
UW President Tommy Thompson yesterday said the university can vaccinate everyone in Wisconsin by the end of March or beginning of April. Thompson says UW campuses are currently set-up for testing, he says they can quickly transition to vaccinations.
The latest vaccination report shows Wisconsin is lagging behind almost every Midwestern state, with just 86 thousand of the state’s 266 thousand doses distributed.
