The city of Wausau is going to cut down all of its ash trees. The city yesterday said they are going to remove every single ash tree in the city over the next 15 years because Emerald Ash Borers have arrived in Wausau.
City forester Andy Sims says they don’t know how long the borers have been in Wausau. The plan is to start removing trees next year.
