It is the first day of the new year for Wisconsin lawmakers.
Both the state Assembly and state Senate will hold their swearing-in ceremony today. A half-dozen Democrats in Wisconsin’s legislature have already taken their oath, but they did so virtually. Wisconsin Republicans hold a majority in the Senate and a super-majority in the state Assembly.
