Wisconsin is setting a new record for COVID-19 deaths in one day.
The health department reports 120 deaths in the last 24 hours. That breaks the record of 107 deaths set on December 1st. Eight deaths were reported yesterday. Over 45-hundred Wisconsinites have died from COVID-19 since the beginning of the pandemic.
On the national level, President-elect Joe Biden is offering prayers for everyone confronting the “dark winter” of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Biden delivered a pre-holiday speech in Delaware and said he is grateful that vaccines are starting to get distributed. He also said he has no doubts in the effectiveness of the immunizations.
Biden warned that mass-vaccination will take time and said things will probably get worse as the outbreak rages across the country.
