DNR Reports 1 Death, 9 Injured in Hunting Season

The Department of Natural Resources says one person is dead and nine were hurt during the nine-day gun deer season in Wisconsin.

The person who died is a 65-year-old man in Door County near Washington Island. The D-N-R says the hunter was leaving his deer blind and tripped, somehow firing the gun into his own chest. All injured hunters were reportedly taken to the hospital for treatment.
