The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources is holding a public meeting this Thursday to discuss a proposed change to the length limit for muskkellunge, or musky fish in Butternut Lake.
The D-N-R says the change proposal removes a 28-inch minimum and replaces it with a 40-inch minimum. The department says there’s no longer a reason to promote selective fishing of medium-sized fish, making the previous limit unnecessary.
