WI Plans for Coronavirus Spike

The Wisconsin National Guard is ending its biggest coronavirus mission of the year.

The guard yesterday transferred control of the Miller Park coronavirus testing site to the city of Milwaukee. The city’s health department will now oversee what is the largest testing site in the state. The guard has been leading the way on testing in Wisconsin since May.

Managers at one of Eau Claire’s hospitals expect to be busier after Thanksgiving. Mayo Clinic doctors say they expect coronavirus numbers in the Chippewa Valley to increase. The clinic’s Amy Williams says it usually takes two weeks for a spike in coronavirus positives to translate into a spike in patients at the hospital.

She’s urging people to wear their masks during this long holiday weekend.
