People who want some clarity on backyard chickens in Eau Claire are going to have to wait.
The city council called FOWL yesterday and punted on a decision, saying they will cross that road in February. Eau Claire is considering scratching out a change that would require people who want to keep chickens to first get the okay from two-thirds of their neighbors.
Eau Claire City Council President Terry Weld says that would take the “scramble” away from city hall, and leave it up to neighborhoods to “crow about” the issue.
