The number of COVID-19 deaths confirmed today is the second-highest total since the pandemic began.
The Department of Health Services says there were 83 deaths in the past 24 hours and 22-hundred patients are in hospitals across the state. The 83 deaths reported today raises the number of COVID-19 fatalities to 28-hundred-and-76 people.
