Official results of a statewide hand recount of the presidential election in Georgia are expected to be released by noon Eastern Time. The audit of vote counts in all 159 counties won’t change the outcome, with President-elect Joe Biden holding onto his lead over President Trump in Georgia.
Here in our area, the Wisconsin Elections Commission says it has received the three-million-dollars payment from the Trump campaign to pay for a recount in Milwaukee and Dane counties.
The petition was filed in-person at the commission’s Madison office. The president would need more than 20-thousand votes changed to win Wisconsin. The Trump campaign says it is initiating the recount for several reasons including a claim of illegally altered absentee ballots.
