Republican State Representative Jesse James will enter a second term in Wisconsin’s 68th Assembly District. James, a native of Altoona, is a former police officer and fire chief turned politician.
James beat Democratic challenger and Eau Claire City Council member Emily Berge.
In other local seats, Republican State Representative Shannon Zimmerman will enter his third term in the Wisconsin State Assembly. Zimmerman defeated Sarah Yacoub to win reelection in the 30th Assembly District. The district covers Western Wisconsin’s St. Croix and Pierce counties.
