Just before 4:30 on Saturday evening on October 10th a deadly crash occurred on 170th Avenue at 150 feet north of STH 35 in PIERCE County near BAY CITY.
The Pierce County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a motorcycle crash and a State Patrol trooper responded. Upon arrival, 60-year-old Michael Dean Nelson, from Minnesota was the driver of the motorcycle and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The initial investigation indicates that the driver was traveling westbound on 170th Avenue and failed to negotiate a curve on the roadway. The motorcycle left the roadway and collided into a drainage ditch.
The crash remains under investigation by the Wisconsin State Patrol.
