A high-speed chase in a stolen vehicle lands a man in jail.
It was just after 12:30 on Sunday morning the Wisconsin State Patrol was involved in a pursuit west bound on I 94 coming from Monroe County into Jackson County. A Trooper successfully deployed tire deflation devices disabling the suspect vehicle. The suspect vehicle was reportedly stolen from Mt. Horeb, WI. Shortly after striking the tire deflation devices, the suspect vehicle crashed in the ditch near the city of Black River Falls.
Following the crash, the driver, 36 year old Eric Sobin, from Kenosha attempted to flee on foot but was apprehended near the scene of the crash. No injuries were reported and Sobin was transported and turned over to Monroe County Jail.
