The latest campus protest at UW-Eau Claire would get rid of the school’s police department.
A group of about 100 people gathered for yesterday’s Cops Off Campus protest. Organizer Stephanie Hoeksema says the goal is to not only kick university police off campus, but to abolish the police all together. She says policing in the United States is racist. The university didn’t say if it planned to act on the protesters’ demands.
