An Eau Claire woman is looking at charges that she spent over 30 thousand dollars in PTA and Girl Scout money on herself.
The D.A. filed formal charges yesterday against Christine Busse. She’s accused of keeping 33 thousand-dollars that was supposed to go to the Sam Davey PTA, the local Boy Scouts, and the local Girl Scouts. Busse was treasurer for all three. Eau Claire Police first started looking into the money back in February. Investigators say Busse said she planned on paying the money back, but said things got out of hand.
