Dogs across the country are getting a little extra love today.
That’s because today is National Dog Day. The day was created in 2004 to celebrate all breeds while bringing awareness to the dogs across the country who still need a forever home. People looking to get a dog are encouraged to look at shelters, or rescues. To celebrate the day many people are posting photos of their dogs on social media with the hashtag #NationalDogDay.
