Madison Mayor Satya Rhodes-Conway says the city honors First Amendment rights and peaceful protests but draws the line at arson, theft and criminal damage to property.
The mayor is speaking out after two nights of rioting in the capital in response to the police shooting of Jacob Blake in Kenosha. Rhodes-Conway said today that kind of behavior does not build a movement, it undercuts the movement and it divides a community like Madison that largely supports change.
