The Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development says the state’s unemployment rate dropped from eight-point-six-percent in June to seven-percent in July.
The national unemployment rate released today is ten-point-two-percent. Despite the decrease, Wisconsin’s jobless rate is more than double what it was this time last year.
