UW President Proposes Free Tuition Extension

UW System President Tommy Thompson is proposing an expansion of the free tuition program.

The program is currently in place for low-income students at UW-Madison.  If approved by the Board of Regents, the governor’s office and State Legislature, all the University of Wisconsin schools would be able to adopt the program.  The program covers four years of tuition for incoming freshmen whose family’s adjusted gross income is less than 60-thousand-dollars.
