Record numbers of single-day positive COVID-19 cases are being reported around the world this week.
Reuters reports 40 countries from all the regions of the world have seen high single-day positive numbers for the disease this week compared to last week. Although the U.S., Brazil and India lead the way, high single-day numbers are also being reported in a wide range of countries such as Australia, Japan, Hong Kong, Bolivia, Sudan, Ethiopia, Bulgaria, Uzbekistan and Israel to name a few.
The number of countries with high single-day infection rates has risen compared to only three weeks ago.
