Here in our state, we saw numbers go up, but the dramatic jump in positive coronavirus cases has not yet led to a similar jump in the number of people in Wisconsin who are hospitalized because of the virus.
The latest numbers from the state’s Department of Health Services show 769 new positive tests yesterday. That comes after 845 new positive tests on Friday, and 926 new positive tests on Saturday.
But DHS says 264 people are in the hospital, and that is only a handful more than last week.
On the larger scene, the U.S. topped the list of hot spots as the world hit a new one-day high for coronavirus cases Sunday.
There were more than 230-thousand new global cases repoted yesterday, including more than 66-thousand in this country. Florida accounted for more than 15-thousand cases.
